Nationwide Baristas' Quest Kicks Off in Davao.

Mindanao's coffee and barista enthusiasts showed off their skills and passion for coffee as nationwide Baristas' Quest kicked off in Davao City as its first leg in the competition last July 3, 2019 in Frog Kaffee Torres Street in Davao. Participants from as far as Cagayan de Oro came to join the competition and showcased their skills in FLAVORS + PROFILES: COFFEE TRANGULATION- A CUP TASTING ACTIVITY.







Michael Harris Lim, President and CEO of Henry & Sons Trading and Manufacturing Co. Inc. who is also the  2019 Philippine National Barista Champion and the 2018 World Barista Championship Semi Finalist led the Barista's Quest Competition in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, aiming to empower Filipino baristas and coffee enthusiasts to promote camaraderie and showcase their skills in the art of coffee.

The United Filipino Baristas are headed to two more leg this month, namely Cebu and  Baguio.

For coffee artists who can create designs using milk are up for a COFFEE + ART: LATTE ART THROWDOWN on July 10 at Halfroom Coffee in Baguio City.

Meanwhile, those who can extract rich coffee flavors into a cup will join the showdown KETTLE+CUP: COFFEE BREWING CHALLENGE happening in Cebu City on July 25 at Tightrope Coffee.

The champions of these competitions will get the chance to represent his or her region by getting a competitor sponsorship package for the National Coffee Championships, a travel allowance and accommodation to the Philippine National Barista Conference happening this September 20 at the SMX Convention Center Aura, and a Comandante Grinder! These events are co-sponsored by the venue partners.
