Cebu in 30 hours.

Aint no place like Cebu. see how i explored the city in 30 full hours in a hot tropical weather. touchdown Cebu close to lunchtime Saturday. headed straight to Ayala mall. The cab fare from Mactan Intl Airport to uptown Ayala cost me 180 pesos. Cebu had a myriad of dining restaurants to choose from. if you are on a diet, i suggest you forget it for a moment because Cebu offers the best unforgettable mouth watering foods in the country.

for lunch, me and my friend dined in at Casa Verde in ayala mall. had Spiced Baby Back Ribs (the most tender baby back ribs ive tried so far) the Lemon Herb Fish was superb too! four stars for the good food!

in the afternoon of saturday,  went to visit Cebu's three historical places. the famous Magellan's Cross, ( a huge christian cross planted by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521) Basilica del Sto Nino ( an old  16th century church in  Sugbu) my last stop was Fort San Pedro ( first Spanish settlement in the Phils and the oldest smallest fort in the country) you get to see the old ruins and take pictures there. Entrance fee is only p25 pesos. =)

half past 6pm of saturday, and i had barely an hour to prepare for a dinner date with my friend. went back to ayala mall and had dinner at Big Mao. basically, i had dinner with a chinese twist! posting photos of Hot Sour Soup, Jelly Fish with Century Egg, Shrimp Siomai, Mango Pudding. it was good. giving it- three stars.

a little after dinner, we headed to IT park and well, what else is best with friends but COFFEE! Bo's is still the best for me. sitted and chatted comfortably until its almost midnight! Bo's- four stars!

by morning of Sunday, went to San Lorenzo Parish in Tisa Cebu for a baby baptism... my friend's home at Labangon, Cebu then headed to Mactan Airport again for departure at 6pm.

My Hip, Minimalist hotel, im giving four stars too! friendly front desk clerks. Island Stays Hotel. along Uptown Ayala Branch. ( choice of Mactan Branch too) Small but clean comfortable and very affordable.  Single rooms are P950 bucks only per night.  photos shown below

if you are going somewhere for a breather,, number one rule is to never forget gadgets like camera for photo memories,,  your iphone, and of course the relaxing music to soothe you, may you be in the hotel or aboard flight....
im glad i didnt forget to buy ittle souvenirs and  bling blings for  keepsakes.

my 30 hours in Cebu is almost over. wrapping up my trip,,im glad ive been back to see a few important places and good food in Cebu. ive lived here three years ten years back. and i say, its still one of the most  livable cities in the country!  will definitely be back.

---home sweet home---
